Nicko makes his crunchy southern fried chicken! Ingredients: 7 cups Kelloggs cornflakes crumbs. 1 egg 1 cup milk 1 cup all purpose flour 1/2 tsp salt 1/4 tsp pepper Frying chicken pieces (wings or drums) rinsed and dried 3 tbsp. butter melted Oil for frying

sure will, just make sure the chicken is nearly at room temp when you cook it. If you pull it straight out of the fridge they will be cold in the middle :)

kfc aint got nothing on you…lol i tried your chicken nuggets and they were great so i’m definitly gonna try this.. one problem though i live in the caribbean and i have never seen buttermilk at the groceries…is there a substitute that i can use??
bot really, buttermilk makes this dish so so good. Just ask your grocer if they have heard of it, i bet they have some somewhere :) let me know anyway
A good substitute for buttermilk is just under 1 cup milk and 1 tablespoon white vinegar or lemon juice, put the vinegar or lemon juice in a measuring cup and add the milk until it reaches the 1 cup line and let stand for 5 mins…. This recipe looks really good and ill try it soon, one question though how hot is the oil though?

well you could mix sum milk with vinegar or lemon juice and let it stand there it gives it a sour flavor like buttermilk oh and in my country we dont have buttermilk as well

~* i also think that fried is the best way to treat a chicken. It really is the only way worth eating. You should make a biscuits and sausage gravy!
